Websites built to get you called.

Most agencies build something that looks good and hope for the best. We build WordPress websites structured to rank across the areas you serve and designed to turn visitors into enquiries, because that’s the only reason you’re paying for one.

RiightMoves, removals, Bromley & South East London

The challenge

A removals firm whose site had no schema markup at all, thin copy across its service pages, and nothing telling Google which areas it covered. Average position on “removals company near me” was 9.9, outside the map pack across most of the patch.

What we built

Rewrote the home page and all eight service pages, added location pages for the areas they serve, and put schema markup across the site. Citations updated across both profiles so the details matched everywhere.

WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

Built by someone who has to make it rank in your area afterwards.

Plenty of agencies say they build with SEO in mind. Fewer build with local search in mind, and for a business that works within ten miles of its base, that difference is everything.

Local SEO is our main business. So every site gets built the way we’d want to find it later.

High-converting pages built to turn visitors into enquiries, not just traffic
Services separated so each can rank on its own
Keyword research, and page copy written to rank rather than padded to fill space
Internal links that connect areas to services
Search Console and Analytics live before launch

None of that costs extra. It’s just what happens when the person building the site is the person who’d otherwise have to fix it.

Your website probably isn’t broken. It’s just not working.

Most local business websites we’re asked to look at aren’t disasters. Someone built them, they load, the phone number’s on there somewhere.

They just don’t do anything.

No clear services

one page listing everything you do means visitors can’t tell if you handle the specific job they need, and Google can’t tell either.

Not built to convert

traffic arrives, reads a bit, and leaves. No obvious next step, nothing that makes picking up the phone the easy option.

Invisible to Google

nothing on the page tells search engines what you do or where you do it. No matter how good the site looks, you won’t turn up when someone nearby goes looking.

A beautiful website nobody finds is an expensive brochure in a drawer.

THE THINKING

Four things separate a site that gets enquiries from one that just exists.

01

Location pages that mean something

If you cover eight areas, Google needs eight reasons to believe it. Not one page with the town swapped, real pages with real detail. This is the single biggest structural difference between local sites that rank and ones that don’t.

02

Services split out properly

One page listing everything you do ranks for nothing in particular. Separate pages mean each can rank for the search that matches it, and visitors land somewhere relevant rather than somewhere general.

03

Contact made obvious

Number in the header, on every page, tappable on mobile. Forms short enough that people finish them. It sounds too simple to matter, it’s the most common thing we fix and the change that shows up fastest.

04

Fast on a phone

Most visitors are on 4G, standing outside, choosing between you and someone else. A site that takes six seconds has already lost. We build light and test on real connections.

BEFORE YOU BUY CHEAP

Buy cheap, buy twice.

We inherit a lot of websites. Some were built by a friend of the family, some by a bargain freelancer, some on a builder platform by the owner at eleven at night. The same problems come up over and over.

The awkward part

Fixing a badly built site usually gets close to the price of building a new one properly, and you still end up on foundations someone else chose.

What we find, over and over5 of 5
Nothing built for conversionno obvious reason to call, no clear next step, and forms long enough that people give up halfway
No location pages at allso the business only ever ranks where its office sits
Plugins years out of datewhich is how most small business sites eventually get hacked
No Search Consoleso nobody has ever seen what the site does or doesn’t rank for
Contact forms that don’t delivergenuinely common, invisible from the outside, and enquiries were being sent to nobody
WHAT IT COSTS

One price, agreed before anything starts.

One-off build

From £750 plus hosting at £100 a year

You own it outright from day one. No monthly build fee, no finance agreement, and nothing that gets more expensive the longer you stay.

Final price depends on how many pages, how many locations, and whether you need e-commerce or booking. You’ll get a fixed number before anything starts. No hourly billing, no scope creep.

Most clients pair a new site with ongoing local SEO, since a site that ranks needs both. More on local SEOWhat site work did for a removals firm

HOW IT WORKS

How a build runs.

01

Conversation

What you do, where you work, who you’re competing with, and what a good month of enquiries looks like. If a new site isn’t the right spend, this is where you’ll hear it.

02

Structure

Before any design happens, we map the pages, services, locations, the lot, based on what people actually search for in your trade. Get this wrong and no amount of design rescues it.

03

Design and build

Built in WordPress, on your branding, with content written for your services and areas. You see it come together rather than getting one big reveal at the end.

04

Test and launch

Every page, every form, every device. Redirects mapped if you’re replacing an existing site, so you keep the rankings you already have, a step that gets skipped constantly and is painful to undo.

05

After launch

Search Console monitored, teething issues fixed, and a walkthrough so you can update things yourself if you want to.

WORTH ADDRESSING

“Shouldn’t I use an agency instead?”

You’ll find agency websites arguing that a team beats an individual every time. They would, and for some projects they’re right. A multi-region e-commerce platform with an integration list needs a team, and you should hire one.

For a local service business website, the maths goes the other way.

At an agency

Here
YouJosh
Nothing is lost in translation.

The person who takes your first call is the person writing your service pages and mapping your redirects. No brief passed to a designer, then a developer, then an account manager.

No junior learning on your budget.

Agencies staff smaller projects with their least experienced people. That’s not a criticism, it’s how the model works. Your project is a small one to them.

You matter more.

A £3,000 build is a rounding error to a 100-person agency and a meaningful project to me. That shows up in how quickly you get answered.

WHO WE BUILD FOR

Local service businesses.

Trades & home services, flooring, carpets, repairs, garden buildings
Removals & man-and-van, where speed and a visible phone number decide it
Clinics & practices, podiatry, dental, aesthetics
Multi-location businesses, a page and a presence for every branch

We don’t build e-commerce platforms, hotel booking systems, or brand sites for startups. Service businesses that need the phone to ring, that’s the list.

NO LOCK-IN

Managed by us. Yours whenever you want it.

Your site and domain are managed on our infrastructure. That’s deliberate, updates, backups, SSL, renewals and security get handled without you thinking about them, and when something breaks there’s no three-way conversation with a hosting company who’s never heard of you.

What it doesn’t mean is that we hold your business hostage.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Web design questions, answered straight.

How much does a small business website cost in the UK?

Realistically, from a few hundred pounds for a template to five figures for something bespoke. For a local service business with proper service and location pages, most sensible builds land in the low thousands. Our builds start at £750 plus £100 a year hosting. Below about £500 you’re getting a template with your logo on it, fine for some businesses, a false economy for most.

How long does a website take to build?

Usually four to eight weeks from first conversation to launch. The biggest variable is content: how quickly we get photos, service details and sign-off from you. Sites where the owner is responsive move considerably faster.

Should the design come first, or the SEO?

SEO first, always. Page structure, URLs and how services and locations relate to each other are SEO decisions, and they’re made before anyone picks a colour. Design applied on top of a sound structure works fine. A structure retrofitted onto a finished design usually means rebuilding half of it.

Do I need a new website, or can mine be improved?

Often it can be improved. If your current site is reasonably fast, works on mobile and isn’t structurally broken, adding proper service and location pages is cheaper and quicker than starting over. We’ll say which applies after looking, and we say “keep it” more often than you’d think.

Will I be able to edit it myself?

Yes. It’s WordPress, and we’ll walk you through the parts you’ll actually want to change: text, photos, opening hours. Plenty of clients would rather we handle updates, which is also fine. You’re never locked out of your own site.

Do you host the website?

Yes, sites are built and hosted on our infrastructure, with updates, backups, SSL, domain renewals and security monitoring included. If you ever want it all moved to your own account, ask and we’ll transfer it. Free, no notice period, no retention call.

What’s included in hosting, and what does it cost?

It’s £100 a year. That covers the server, SSL certificate, daily backups, plugin and WordPress updates, domain renewal and security monitoring. It’s a running cost rather than a lock-in, but worth knowing that an unmaintained WordPress site is the most common way small businesses get hacked, so someone needs to be doing it.

What happens to my Google rankings when the site changes?

This is the risk nobody mentions. Replacing a site without mapping redirects properly can wipe out rankings you’ve spent years building. Every URL on your old site gets mapped to its new home before launch, and we watch Search Console closely afterwards.

Do you write the content?

Yes, included. You tell us about your services and send photos; the writing is ours, written to rank, not padded to fill space.

Can you build an online shop?

Small ones, yes. Large or complex e-commerce isn’t our specialism, and we’d point you at someone better suited rather than learn on your budget.

Is WordPress the right choice?

For most local service businesses, yes. You own it, it’s flexible, it handles location pages and blogs properly, and any developer can pick it up if we ever part ways. Builder platforms are quicker to start with and harder to rank and move later.

I build WordPress sites for London service businesses, flooring companies, removals firms, clinics, garden office builders. They’re built the way they are because local SEO is my main job, so I’m usually the one who has to make the site rank across a service area afterwards.

That changes your priorities. Structure before styling, location pages from day one, and forms that actually deliver.

Every site is built by me, personally.

Tell me what you need.

Send over your current site, or tell me you haven’t got one, along with what you do and where you work. You’ll get honest first impressions and a fixed quote.

If your existing site is fine and doesn’t need replacing, I’ll tell you that too.
